HELD ON
MAY 28, 1991
The Special Session of the City Council of the City of The Colony,
Texas was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th day of May, ]991
at City Rail with the following Council roll call:
William W. Manning, Mayor Present
Mike Lynch, Councilman Present
Billy Sharp, Councilman Present
Rob Burchard, Councilman Present
Lou Gomez, Councilman Present
Joel Marks, Mayor Pro-rem Present
and with six present, a quorum was established and the following
items were addressed: .
The Mayor called the meeting to order and immediately called a
recess until the first applicant arrived. At 7:]5 the Council went
into closed Door to interview for the Place 3 Council seat. the
following persons were interviewed:
Dewayne Snider, Debi Litton, Dale Therio, Booker T. Jackson
]. CLOSED DOOR SESSION AS AUTHORIZED BY ARTICLE 6252-]7,
V.A.C.S., SECTION 2G, REGARDING PERSONNEL, TO-WIT:
INTERVIEW FOR PLACE 3 COUNCIL APPOINTMENT
]0:07 p.m.
Upon reconvening in open session the following item was addressed:
2. CONSIDERATION OF APPOINTMENT TO PLACE 3 COUNCIL POSITION
Mayor Manning opened the floor for nominations. Councilman
Lynch nominated Dale Therio. Councilman Marks nominated Dewayne
Snider. Councilman Gomez moved to close nominations and Councilman
Lynch seconded the motion, which carried with all members voting
Aye.
The vote was then taken with the following results:
Councilman Lynch - Therio
Councilman Sharp - Therio
Councilman Burchard - Therio
Councilman Gomez - Snider
Councilman Marks - Snider
Mayor Manning - Abstain
Councilman Gomez then made a motion to accept the vote as taken and
to declare Dale Therio the winner by acclamation. Councilman Lynch
seconded the motion which carried with all members voting Aye.
With no further business to address, Councilman Marks moved to
adjourn, Councilman Gomez seconded the motion which carried with
all members voting Aye.
Mayor Manning adjourned the meeting at ]0:]0 p.m.
