HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/27/1987 City Council MINUTES OF THE CITY'COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON APRIL 27, 1987 The SPECIAL SESSION of the City Council of the City of The Colony was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th day of April, 1987, at City Hall, with the following Council Roll Call: Don Amick, Mayor Present Rick Harris,Mayor Pro-tem Present Johnny Spears,Councilman Present Steve Glazener,Councilman Present Harvey Bradley,Councilman Present Marlene Poole,Councilman Present and with six members present a quorum was established and the following items were addressed: 1. CLOSED DOOR SESSION AS AUTHORIZED BY ARTICLE 6251-17 V.A.C.S., SECTION 2G, REGARDING PERSONNEL, TO-WIT: A. INTERVIEW FOR COUNCILMAN PLACE 3 After reconvening in Open Session the following items were addressed: 2. CONSIDERATION OF ANY APPROPRIATE ACTIN RESULTING FROM CLOSED DOOR SESSION REGARDING THE APPOINTMENT OF COUNCILMAN PLACE 3. At this time Mayor Amick stated that the Council had interviewed four persons for the position; Michael C. Robinson, Roy Winegar, Robert L. Poynter, Sr., and Dennis McClelland. Councilman Spears moved to appoint Michael C. Robinson of 5217 Gates Drive to serve in the Place 3 Council seat. Councilman Poole seconded the motion which carried with a unanimous roll call vote. With no further business to address, Councilman Bradley moved to adjourn the meeting and Councilman Glazener seconded the motion which carried with all members voting Aye.
