HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/13/1987 City Council MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON APRIL 13, 1987 The SPECIAL SESSION of the City Council of the City of The Colony was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on the 13th day of April, 1987 at City Hall, with the following Council Roll Call: Don Amick, Mayor Absent, due to business Rick Harris,Mayor Pro-tem Present Tom Arrambide, Councilman Present Steve Glazener,Councilman Present Harvey Bradley,Councilman Present Marlene Poole,Councilman Present and with five members present a quorum was established and the following item was addressed: 1. PRESENTATION OF PLAQUE TO FORMER COUNCILMAN DAVID W. DYE, III. Mayor Pro-tem Harris presented a plaque to Mr. Dye, for his dedication and commitment to the enhancement of the quality of life in the City during his tenure as Councilman Place 3 from April 1986 to March 1987. Mr. Dye thanked the Council and stated that it is with regret that he is unable to finish his term of office, stating that his job has required him to re-locate his family to New Jersey. At this time, Councilman Poole moved to adjourn the meeting and Councilman Bradley seconded the motion which carried with all members voting Aye. Mayor Pro-tem Harris adjourned the meeting at 7:34 p.m. The Council and audience were invited to share in cake and coffee to wish the Dyes well in their new venture. APPROVED: ATTEST:
