HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/23/1985 City Council MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 23, 1985 The SPECIAL SESSION of the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on a tract of land generally located one-half mile west of FM 423 north of Bowen Road on Wynnwood Peninsula and extending onto Hackberry Peninsula. 1. PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING ANNEXATION OF A 500 FOOT WIDE STRIP LAND (EAST/WEST) AND ONE MILE IN LENGTH (NORTH/SOUTH), GENERALLY LOCATED ONE-HALF MILE WEST OF FM 423 NORTH OF BOWEN ROAD ON WYNNWOOD PENINSULA AND EXTENDING ONTO HACKBERRY PENINSULA, SITUATED IN DENTON COUNTY. Mayor called for a motion to open the Public Hearing. Coun- cilman Dodds made the motion to open the Public Hearing and Councilman Harris seconded the motion which passed with all members voting Aye. Mayor Sample then stated that the correct name of the road was Boyd not Bowen and asked that the correct- ion be so noted in the minutes of this hearing. There was no discussion. Councilman Harris moved to close the Public Hearing and Councilman Arrambide seconded the motion which carried with all members voting Aye. With no further business to discuss, Councilman Harris moved to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Dodds seconded the motion which carried with all members voting Aye.
