Minutes of the City Council
of the City of The Colony, Texas
held on
December 3, 1984
The SPECIAL SESSION Of the City Council of the City of
The Colony, Texas, was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on
a tract of land located at the western most tip of
Stewart Creek peninsula generally known as Stewart Creek
Park, with the following members present:
Larry D. Sample Mayor
Rick Harris Councilman
Helen Gray Councilman
Charles Dodds Councilman
and with Councilmen Long, Amick and Poole absent; however,
a quorum was established.
1. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF A
130 ACRE TRACT OF LAND ON THE WESTERN TIP OF
STEWART CREEK PENINSULA ADJACENT TO THE WESTERN
CITY LIMIT BOUNDARY GENERALLY KNOWN AS STEWART
CREEK PARK
Councilman Dodds made the motion to open the public
hearing. Seconded by Counci. lman Gray the motion
carried with a unanimous vote.
City Manager, Jan]ce Carroll, presented the Service
Plan for the area.
There was no one present who wished to speak either
for or against the annexation.
Councilman Dodds made the motion to close the public
hearing. Seconded by Councilman Harris, the mot]on
carried with a unanimous vote.
With no further action to be taken by the Council at this
t]me, Councilman Dodds moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded
by Councilman Harris, the mot]on carried with a unanimous vote.
Mayor Sample formally adjourned the meeting at 7:05 p.m.
