ITEM I1 RECEIVE CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S STATUS REPORT A. Mr. Hart stated that at the most recent Denton County Ambulance meeting, the cities drew for the available ambulances and The Colony was third. It is the County's intention to bring all ambulances to an equal status using the monies allocated to the respective city. This is a "one time" expense and the ambulance would Bhen be owned by the City. The cost to The Colony would be approximately seven thousand dollars ($7,000). Mr. Hart stated that it is the staff's recommendation to enter into the agreement and a contract would be presented at a later meeting for the Council's approval. B-~ Mr. Hart asked for authorization to investigate the feasibility of hiring a consulting firm to study the Lone Star Gas rate increase request. The gas company usually reimburses to a City this fee; however, the cost is dis- tributed to the customer. Alderman Shearer suggested that Mr. Hart call the Railroad Commission to further check out this procedure. C. Regarding the proposed purchase of a Texas Forest Turck, Mayor Longo presented a letter and sample contract to the Council for their review. It was noted that the Texas Forest Service does reserve the right to reclaim the truck if it is not used properly by the City.
