HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 90-16 CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS RESOLUT I ON NO. ~;~) -/~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS WAIVING THE ENTRY FEES INTO STEWART CREEK PARK FOR SAIL FAIR, HELD DURING SEPTEMBER OF EACH YEAR WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas recognizes the importance of City Wide functions; and WHEREAS, the use of City parks and facilities is encouraged for those functions; and WHEREAS, a two day SAIL FAIR has been held the last two years at Stewart Creek Park, and is planned for September 22 and 23, 1990 at Creek Park for all citizens of The Colony; WtIEREAS, it is believed that SAIL FAIR has become a part of the traditions of our city, enhancing the enjoyment and culture of our citizens, and will continue to be held on a yearly basis; and WHEREAS, the City Council does have the authority to waive entry fees into Stewart Creek Park; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas that'entry fees into Stewart Creek Park shall be waived for SAIL FAIR to be held September 22 and ~23, 1990, and that those fees shall be waived for each and every year following as long as SAIL FAIR is held at the park and as. long as it continues to be an occasion for the enhancement of all citizens of The Colony.
