HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/11/1978 City Council SPECIAL SESSION CITY OF THE COLONY DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS MARCH 11, 19 78 STATE OF TEXAS ) ) COUNTY OF DENTON ) The City Council of the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas, convened in Special Session, open to the public at the City Hall of the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas, at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 11, 1978, and the roll was called of the members of the Council to wit: Linda Adams Mayor Pro Tem Cathy Bock Alderman Dave Dall Alderman Joe Gaulden Alderman Sandr a Shearer Alderman All Council members were present, thus, constituting a quorum. Janice Carroll, City Secretary, was also in attendance. Mayor Pro Tem Adams called the meeting to order and introduced Frank Graham to present agenda item one to the Council. Mr. Graham stated that according to procedures set by the Texas Department of Water Resources the Municipal Utility District is requesting approval from the city prior to annexing three sections into their district. Mr. Graham described, with the use of maps to be filed with the city, the tracts involved. Tract one being located adjacent to the northeast corner of The Colony city limits. Tract two being located at the northwest corner of The Colony on the west side of FM #423. The third tract is located at the southeast corner of The Colony on the north side of Highway ~121. After a brief discussion, Alderman Bock moved that the city approve this annexation into the Municipal Utility District. Alderman Dall seconded the motion. The motion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: Ail members present voted aye Noes: None There being no further agenda items, Alderman Dall moved that the meeting be adjourned. Alderman Shearer seconded the motion. The motion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: All members present voted aye Noes: None The meeting was adjourned. Ja~c~ Carroll, City Decretary
