HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/21/1993 BOABOARD OF ADJUSTMENT & APPEALS OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS HELD ON JULY 21, 1993 CASE NO. 93-01 A REGULAR SESSION OF THE BOARD OF Adjustments & Appeals of the City of The Colony, Texas, was called to order at 7:31 p.m. with the following members present: Rob Bauman Chairman Lou Gomez Member - Absent Mike Catt Member Lynda Tate Member Tim O'Neill Member Robert Poynter Alternate John Mitchell Alternate - Absent Quorum Present Tom Cravens, Director of Public Works, Designated Officer of the City Inspections Department was present. Chairman Bauman opened the meeting with the approval of the June 23, 1993 (Case No. 93-01) minutes, asking members if everyone received a copy of the minutes. Reply was yes. Chairman Bauman entertained a motion to approve the minutes. Member Catt motioned to approve them. Member Poynter seconded. Member Tate asked for discussion of the minutes. Member Tate wanted added to the minutes for approval the following in the paragraphs (of which are underlined): (Page 1) Acting Chairman Bauman called the meeting to order. Then read an overview of Variance Procedures and Requirements. Robert Poynter (Alternate) was seated as a voting member in the absence of Lou Gomez. (Page 2) Mr. Page replied yes; to locate sign according to 10' requirements would place the sign in the customer driveway by gas pumps, therefore obstracting service. Chairman Bauman replied yes; this property was annexed into The Colony and at that time the current pole sign was already constructed. Therefore, it has assumed nonconforming rights. Chairman Bauman entertained a motion to approve the minutes with the amendments. Member O'Neill motioned to approve them. Member Catt seconded. Carried by all ayes. Meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
