HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/06/94 EDC MINUTES OF ~ ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS ¥1I~LD ON OCTOBER 6,1994 A meeting of the Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors for the City of The Colony, Texas was called to order at 7:28 PM on the 6th day of October, 1994 at City Hall. Thc following persons were ia attendance: John Dillard, Councilman; Vice President Jeffrey Cumlingham, President Martha Fujauski, Secretary Frank Cuda, Treasurer Johnny Smith, City Manager Lori Harlan, Economic Development Coordinator Clark Lund was absent. The agenda consisted of an overview of economic development board activities and issues iacluding goals, objectives, and discussion of a vision statement. Lori Harlan provided examples of vision statements which were edited by Jeffrey Ctmniagham, along with input from Councilman Dillard and Johnny Smith. Frank Cuda and Martha Fujauski discussed the TU Electric meeting they attended and the upcoming training at the Texas A & M conference scheduled for Martha Fujauski. Budget issues and IRS tax exemption status were discussed by Johnny Smith and Frank Cuda. Lori Harlan discussed the necessity to document economic inquires and establishing a method of tracking companies and providing consistent information by utilizing a briefing sheet. In an attempt to set a consistent meeting time and place, it was suggested that the Economic Development Board try meeting at 7:00 am on Wednesday mornings. The meeting was adjourned at 9:47 PM.
