HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/17/78 P&Z MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION CITY OF THE COLONY DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS AUGUST 17, 1978 THE STATE OF TEXAS ) ) COUNTY OF DENTON ) The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas convened in Regular Session, open to the public, at the City Hall of the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 17, 1978, and the roll was called of the members of the Commission to wit: Harry Hunsicker Chairman Mark Crow Member Cathy Bock Member Richard Turner Member and Member Bob Brown was absent. Also present was Frank Graham of Fox and Jacobs. The first item considered by the Commission was the approval of the minutes submitted for the regular meeting held on June 6, 1978. Member Bock moved to accept the minutes as written. Member Crow seconded the motion. The motion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: All members present voted aye Noes: None A discussion was held on zoning ordinance which was presented to the City Council at their last work session on Thursday, August 10, 1978. The last 20 sections of the zoning ordinance has to be completed and it was decided to seek some assistance from Wayne Thompson of Fox and Jacobs for this. Frank Graham would try to set up two meetings with Mr. Thompson the week of August 27, 1978 at Fox and Jacobs. The map for the comprehensive zoning ordinance was reviewed. It was decided that after the meetings with Mr.'Thompson, the P&Z would meet again and review the 20 sections of the zoning ordinance and incorporate the sign ordinance and then present to the City Council again. There being no further business, Member Turner moved to adjourn the meeting. Member Crow seconded the motion. The motion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: Ail members present voted aye Noes: None The meeting was adjourned. Cathy Bock, Secretary
