CITY OF THE COLONY
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
TUESDAY, APRIL 9, 2024
After determining that a quorum was present, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
The Colony, Texas convened into Regular Session which was held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at
6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at City Hall, 6800 Main Street, The Colony, Texas,
at which time the following items were addressed:
Board Members Present: Detrick DeBurr, Jeff Baran, A.B. Martin, Kenneth Flo and Brenda
Armour
Board Members Absent: Karen Haines
Staff Present: Ana Alvarado, Planning Technician; Keyl Groff, Senior Planner; Calvin Lehmann,
Park Development Manager
1.0 1 CALL REGULAR SESSION TO ORDER
Acting Chair Armour called the regular session of the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting to
order at 6:30 p.m.

CONSENT AGENDA
2.1
Consider approval of the minutes of the March 12, 2024 Regular Session.
Acting Chair Armour read Consent Agenda Item 2.1 into the record.
Commissioner Flo made a motion to approve item 2.1, seconded by Commissioner Martin.
The motion carried (5-0).
2.2 FP24-0001— Stewart Creek Addition, Lots I and 2, Block 1 Final Plat
Consider approval of a Final Plat for Stewart Creek Addition Lots 1 and 2, Block 1 being
40.331 acres out of the James L. Sparks Survey, Abstract No. 1179 and the Richard G.
Dunlap Survey, Abstract No. 352, in the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas located
at the southwest intersection of Anderson Drive and Augusta Street within the Single
Family-4 (SF-4) Zoning District.
Acting Chair Armour read Consent Agenda Item 2.2 into the record.
Commissioner DeBurr made a motion to approve item 2.2, seconded by Commissioner Baran.
The motion carried (5-0).
There being no further business to come before the Commission, Acting Chair Armour adjourned
the Regular Session of the Planning and Zoning Commission at 6:33 p.m.
