A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE
COLONY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A
PURCHASE ORDER TO UTILITY SERVICE CO., INC. LOCATED IN
ATLANTA GEORGIA FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION
OF TWO PAX SUBMERSIBLE ACTIVE MIXING SYSTEMS TO THE
NORTH COLONY WATER TOWER AND THE LEGENDS WATER
TOWER AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City has determined there is a need for two submersible active mixing
systems for the purpose of creating continuity in the operation and maintenance of the water
towers in the Colony; and
WHEREAS, the City budgeted for this equipment in the Fiscal Year 2016-17 Budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to purchase
the equipment and to pay the sum of $58,412.70.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The Quote having been reviewed by the City Council of the City of The Colony,
Texas, and found to be acceptable and in the best interest of the City and its citizens, be, and the
same is hereby, in all things approved.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the purchase of a Skid -steer
and drop hammer attachment on behalf of the City of The Colony, Texas.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its adoption and
it is so resolved.
PASSED, APPROVED and EFFECTIVE this 2"d day of May, 2017.
