CITY OF THE COLONY
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
APRIL 11, 2017
After determining that a quorum was present, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City
of The Colony, Texas convened into Regular Session which was held on Tuesday, April 11,
2017 at 6:31 Pm in the City Council Chambers located in City Hall, 6800 Main Street, The
Colony, Texas, at which time the following items were addressed:
Board Members Present: Karen Hames, Chairman, Detrick DeBurr, Vice Chairman, Cesar
Molina Jr., Shawn Rockenbaugh, Janece Pool, and Shannon Hebb.
Board Members Absent: Brian Buffington
Staff Present: Surupa Sen, AICP, Planning Director.
1.0 1 CALL REGULAR SESSION TO ORDER
Chairman Hames called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m.
1.1 1 CITIZEN INPUT
No citizen came forward for input.
2.0 CONSENT AGENDA
2.1Consider approval of the minutes of the March 28, 2017 Regular Session.
2.2 P 6-0012, Lots 25R, 29R, 30R, Block 8, Garza Little Elm Lake Estates Replat
Consider denial of a replat for Lots 25R, 29R, 30R, Block 8, Garza Little Elm Lake Estates,
being a replat of Lots 25, 29, 30, Block 8, Garza Little Elm Lake Estates, recorded in Volume 2,
Page 80, Plat Records, Denton County, Texas, 0.516 acres out of the George Emberlin Survey,
Abstract no. 394, an addition to the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas located between
Bevily Drive, Shore Drive and Horseshoe Trail, within Planned Development 2 (PD 2) zoning
district.
Chairman Hames read the Consent Agenda items into the record.
Commissioner DeBurr moved to approve Items 2.1, 2.2 as stated Commissioner Hebb
seconded the motion. Motion carried (6-0).
There being no further business to come before the Commission, Chairman Hames adjourned the
Regular Session of the Planning and Zoning Commission at 6: 33 p.m.
