CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 2016-D 6 j A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A US COMMUNITIES PROPOSAL BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF THE COLONY AND TRANE U.S., INC., FOR INSTALLATION OF NEW EQUIPMENT AND CONTROLS FOR THE QUALIFICTION AND TRAINING OF POLICE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL, WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND INCORPORATED HEREIN AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens to approve a US Communities proposal with Trane U.S., Inc., for installation of new equipment and controls for the qualification and training of police department personnel, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, the City of The Colony agrees to pay a total of $366,470.00 for new equipment and controls system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. The City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas hereby authorizes execution of a US Communities proposal with Trane U.S., Inc., for new equipment and controls in the amount of $366,470.00. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute a US Communities proposal with Trane U.S., Inc., for said improvements, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". Factory Net 30 Days Trane U.S. Inc. dba Trane is pleased to provide the following proposal foryour review and approval. The scope Is based on Mechanical and Electrical Drawings by GI.2M Engineering dated 6/27/2016. We will provide all required project management and safety oversight for the entire project, including management of all contractors, startup and checkout of all new equipment. Equipment: FFU-1 1.25 HP motor with VFD with bypass 2. Bag In Bag Out Filters - Camfil bag-in/bag-out prefilter / gasket seal HEPA filter system consisting of. a. CF -2X3 -024P-1 PB -S8 prefiltertntermediate filter housing b. CF-2X3-012P-1GB-SS HEPA housing c. Housings welded in series d Static pressure taps and sample ports with brass plugs e. (6) model 30/30 24x24x2' prefilters f. (6) Model OPMV14 24X24X4° Opti-Pac intermediate filters g. (6) 01XH-24224Z12-CU-3-C-A-00 A/00 HEPA filters h (1) lot change -out bags and safety straps 3 Tamco Airflow Damper a. Air -IQ damper and airflow station included. RTU -1 1.30 ton rooftop unit 2. 10 Hp Supply Motor with VFD with bypass 3.0-100% Economizer, Reference Enthalpy Control 4. Condenser coil guards 5. BACnet interface 6. Clogged filter switch 7. Disconnect with convenience outlet Installation Scone: 4 Ton Trane Package Unit: 1 Modify unit as necessary to change from 100% outdoor air to return air/outside air. a. Install return air dampers and new outside air hood with integral dampers. 2 Furnish and install ductwork as necessary to match what is on the plans 3 Furnish and install BACnet communicating thermostat. 4 Test and balance unit and diffusers to confirm supply air is per plans. 30 Ton Trane RTU Installation 1 Furnish all necessary material and labor in order to roof in new roof curb in order to install new RTU. 2. Furnish all necessary rigging and crane support as needed to set unit. 3 Furnish and install all necessary structural support in order to accommodate new RTU. 4. Install (1) new 30 Ton Trane RTU with integral controls per plans and schedules 5. Furnish and install all necessary supply air ductwork from RTU down to air distrib ution diffusers in shooting range. TumheyProposal Page 1 of July 19, 2016 6. Furnish and install all necessary return air ductwork from RTU down to final filter unit connection. 7. Furnish and install all necessary supply and return air grilles. 8. Furnish and install all necessary control wiring and programming in order to accommodate new RTU. 9. Furnish and insta!I circuit breaker, conduit, and wiring as required to connect unit with single point power connection and factory mounted disconnect switch Based on MCA of 75 9A & MOP of 90A. 5. Furnish and install all necessary condensate piping from new RTU and tie into existing. 6. Start system up and check operation 7 Furnish all necessary labor and material in order to test and balance all equipment according to fumished specs. Final Filter Unit Installation 1. Disconnect and demo existing exhaust fan, ductwork, supply distribution system, electrical wiring and haul from jobsite. 2. Provide new concrete pad for unit as shown. Grass to be removed and hauled off site. 3. Furnish all necessary rigging and crane support as needed to set unit. 4 Furnish and install (1) new Firal Filter Unit with controls as scheduled to be installed at ground location. 5 Furnish and install exhaust ductwork as shown on drawings and specifications. 6 Furnish and install circuit breaker, conduit, and wiring as required to connect unit with single point power connection and factory mounted disconnect switch Based on MCA of 54.3A & MOP of 100A. 7. Start system up and check complete operation. 8. Furnish all necessary labor and material in order to test and balance all equipment according to furnished specs. Controls Installation 1. Units will be provided with controls per the drawings and specifications Units will be programmed and commissioned to confirm operation. 2. Controls will be able to alarm via email or text as well as in the space 3. Fire Alarm contractor will monitor unit provided duct smoke detectors. Contractor to also relocate fire alarm strobe per drawings. Clarifications: 1. Pricing based on all work being performed during normal business hours. 2. 1 year parts & labor warranty is provided. 3. All necessary permits are included in pricing. Exclusions: 1. Overtime. 2 All work will conform to applicable codes, however Trane cannot be responsible for existing code violations, if any should be present. 3 Not responsible for any damage to driveway/parking lot or underground utilities as a result from lifting or removing equipment. There is no way of knowing the integrity of concrete, asphalt or ground. 4 Painting of any kind.
