3.0 REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS
3.1 Discussion of a tree grant opportunity through the Texas Trees Foundation -
Eve was contacted by Tyler Wright, an Urban Forrester from the Texas Trees
Foundation, about a grant with the Alliance for Community Trees. The Texas Tree
Foundation applies for the grant, they partner with TD Bank who will bring volunteers to
plant the trees and we provide the place for the trees. There are 100 trees that could be
planted in Stewart Creek Park. We are responsible for maintenance after the trees are
planted and we would be notified in the middle of summer if we get the grant.
3.2 Discussion of the recommended tree list in the City's Landscape Ordinance—
Eve told the board that Courtney Blevins from the Texas Forest Service will review this
list with her to make sure it is correct. This list will be posted on the CDC website with
links to other websites.
3.3 Discussion of tree promotion through media outlets—
Eve discovered that the Tree City USA icon on the City and CDC websites does not have
a hyperlink attached to it. She suggested that a hyperlink be created so we can provide
people with more information about trees or direct them to other websites with more
information about trees.

3.4 Update on Memorial Dr. Tree relocation project—
This refers to the trees on the medians of key intersections where turn lanes could
potentially be installed, but that will be done in the fall and winter. However, the
Leyland cypress trees on Memorial Dr. behind Home Depot are growing into each other
and need to be removed, so 7 of them will be removed and transplanted at Five Star.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:47 p.m.
