RESOLUTION NO. 2014- 00el
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS,
AWARDING THE BID FOR REPLACING THE FENCE AT
BRIDGES CEMETERY TO TITAN FENCE AND
ARCHEOLOGICAL OBSERVATION TO VERSAR, INC.;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE
ORDER; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of The Colony, Texas hereby
awards the bid for replacing the fence at Bridges Cemetery to Titan Fence in the amount
of $16,767.00 and archeological observation to Versar, Inc. in the amount of $816.76.
Section 2. That an additional $2000.00 be authorized for field adjustment
expenditures in the instance an unmarked grave is discovered in the construction area.
Section 3. That the purchase shall be funded through the Community
Development Corporation Park Improvements Fund 825.
Section 4. That the City Manager is authorized to issue appropriate purchase
order(s).
Section 5. That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of The Colony,
Texas, this 4th day of February, 2014. _

FURNISH AND INSTALL:
We propose to remove and dispose of approximately 525' of existing fencing in place currently. We will remove
fencing simultaneously while city is cutting and trimming tress to allow for a clear path for new fencing at the citys
desired location.
We will install 312' of 2 rail 7' overall height custom fabricated arched top pressed spear ornamental panels.
Rails will be 1 1/2" square tubing and all pickets will be 3/4" tubing with pressed spear point on top, all pickets
will be spaced on 4" centers. All panels will be powder coated gloss black. (Water Tower Area Fencing)
We will also install 225' of 6' tall pressed spear ornamental. We will install (1) 12' double swing gate at location
pointed out by city. Rails will be 1" square tubing and all pickets will be 5/8" square tubing with pressed spear
point on top, all pickets will be spaced on 4" centers. All panels will be powder coated gloss black.
(Fencing Not at Water Tower Area)
LIFETIME WARRANTY ON WORKMANSHIP
We Propose hereby to furnish material, labor and equipment -- in accordance with above specifications, for the sum of:
Sixteen Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Seven Dollars and No Cents $16,767.00
All materials is guaranteed to be as specified. All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner according to
standard practices. Any alteration or deviation from specifications - involving extra costs will be executed only upon IsorensenCa�titanfence.com
written orders, and will become an extra charge over and above the estimate. All agreements contingent upon Jeff Sorensen
strikes, accidents of delays beyond our control. Owner to carry fire, tornado and other necessary insurance.
Customer agrees to add value to contract value all verifiable material price increases during the life of the contract.
Sorensen Commercial / Titan Fence will not be held liable in any way for delays caused by material shortages. Note: Prices Quoted Good for 10 Days
