CITY OF THE COLONY
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
AUGUST 27, 2013
After determining that a quorum was present, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City
of The Colony, Texas convened into Regular Session which was held on Tuesday, August 27,
2013 at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chambers located in City Hall, 6800 Main Street, The
Colony, Texas, at which time the following items were addressed:
Board Members Present: Richard Bambury, Chairman; Karen Hames, Vice-Chairman; Eddie
McCormick; Shannon Hebb; Cesar Molina, Jr. and Cody Hall.
Board Member Absent: Brian Wade
City Council Liaison Absent: David Terre, City Council Place 4
Staff Present: Brooks Wilson, AICP, Senior Planner and Gordon Scruggs, Engineering Director.
1.0 CALL REGULAR SESSION TO ORDER
Chairman Bambury called the meeting to order at 6:30 Prin.
1.1 CITIZEN INPUT
No citizens came forward during Citizen Input.
2.0 CONSENT AGENDA
2.1 Consider approval of the Minutes of the August 13, 2013 Workshop Session and Regular
Session.
Commissioner Molina moved by to approve the Workshop and Regular Session Minutes.
Commissioner Hames seconded and the motion carried (5-0, with Hebb abstaining).
2.0 CONSENT AGENDA
2.2 PP13-0007, The Lochs Phase 3 and The Glen Phase 2 Additions
Consider approval of a Preliminary Plat of Lot 1-23, Block J; Lots 1-13, Block K; Lots 3-20,
Block L; Lots 3-9, Lots 11-86, Lots 88-96 and Lots 98-100, Block M; Lot 1 and Lots 14-24,
Block N for a total of 161 residential lots plus Lots 10X, 87X, 97X and 101 X, Block M for a
total of four (4) common areas of The Lochs Phase 3 and The Glen Phase 2 Additions, being a
62.13 acre tract of land in the B.B.B. and C.R.R. Survey, Abstract No. 182, located on the east
side of Inverness and approximately 180 feet east of Glenturret Circle.
2.3 PP13-0008, Aberdeen Phase 3 and Tidlamore Meadows Additions
Consider approval of a Preliminary Plat of Lot 32-91, Block A; Lots 1-14, Block B; Lots 1-33,
Block C and Lots 15-27, Block E for a total of 120 residential lots plus Lots 15X, Block B and
34X, Block C for a total of two (2) common areas of Aberdeen Phase 3 and Tullamore
Meadows Additions, being a 35.32 acre tract of land in the B.B.B. and C.R.R. Survey, Abstract
No. 182, and the S. Payton Survey, Abstract No. 1009, located on the west side of Lebanon
Drive and along both sides of Waverly.
2.4 PP13-0009, Stonehaven at Tribute Addition
Consider approval of a Preliminary Plat of Lot 1-21 and Lots 23-70, Block A; Lots 1-18, Block
B; Lots 1-16, Block C; Lots 1-26, Block D; Lots 1-28, Block E; Lots 1-6, Block F and Lots 2-7
and Lots 9-17, Block G for a total of 178 residential lots plus Lots 22X and 71 X, Block A; 7X,
Block F and Lots 1X and 8X, Block G for a total of five (5) common areas of Stonehaven at
Tribute Addition, being a 54.83 acre tract of land in the B.B.B. and C.R.R. Survey, Abstract
No. 182, located generally south of Lebanon Drive at Bankside.

2.5 FP13-0006, The Cascades at The Colony, Phase 2 Addition, Lot 1, 3 and 4, Block L
Consider approval of a Final Plat of Lots 1, 3 and 4 Block L of The Cascades at The
Colony, Phase 2, being a 16.59 acre tract of land, located on the northeast corner of the
Sam Rayburn Tollway (S.H. 121) and Morningstar Drive.
Commissioner Hames moved by to approve Items 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5. Commissioner Hebb
seconded and the motion carried (6-0).
There being no further questions or discussion, Chairman Bambury adjourned the meeting at
6:37 Pm.
