HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/24/2001 Telecommunications MINUTES OF THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS BOARD CITY OF THE COLONY, TEXAS JULY 24, 2001 A Regular Session of the Telecommunications Board of The City of The Colony, Texas was called to order by Chairman Water Gillett at City Hall, 6800 Main Street, The Colony, Tx at 7:30pm. In attendance: Walter Gillett, Clark, Switzer, Bill Cunningham & Duane Sanders. 1. Citizen's Input: None 2. Liaison's Report: None 3. Minutes Approved: None 4. Discussion & vote to request removal of Collin County Community College TV (CCCC-TV) from The Colony AT&T Cable Channel 17 & replace same with The Colony Government TV. Reasons for request included, but not li nited to: bad audio, CCCC-TV off-air for extended periods of time, quality & content of programming was not as expected. This change would then have the following AT&T Channels & their identities as follows: 6 - The Colony Public Safety, 17 - The Colony Government TV, 71 - 24 hr Doppler Weather Radar (Channel 8 - WFAA-TV) & NOAA Weather Radio (National Weather Service, Ft. Worth). Motion to send a note to The Colony City Council requesting this change was made by Clark Switzer, seconded by Duane Sanders & votes were all aye. ourned at 7:45pm. i Walter Gillett, Chairman Bill Cunningham, uRecording Secretary
